Getting Started

Welcome to Trust Wizard. Unlike traditional cloud-based utilities that store your data remotely, Trust Wizard is a local-first application. This means your data never leaves your device, providing you with absolute privacy and control over your estate planning.

Initial Setup

1. Launch the App: Upon your first launch, you'll be greeted by the secure loading sequence.
2. Establish Your Trust: Click "Create New Trust" to initialize your local vault. You'll be asked to provide basic trust details (Name, Date, Jurisdiction).
3. Device Permissions: Trust Wizard may request access to your Camera (for scanning documents) and Local Notifications (for compliance reminders). All processing happens on-device.

Policy Value Projection

The core of the Trust Wizard dashboard is the Policy Analytics engine, designed specifically for tracking asset performance and sophisticated ILIT structures.

Managing Policies

• Link Policy: Input your insurance carrier, policy number, and initial values (Cash Value, Death Benefit, Loan Rate).
• The Trust Ledger: Every policy has a built-in ledger. Use it to log premium payments and annual "True-Up" statements to keep your charts accurate.
• Projection Charts: The dashboard visualizes the growth of your "Working Capital" vs. your "Legacy Capital" (Death Benefit) over time.

The Document Wizard

Manage the physical and legal reality of your trust without third-party services.

Certification of Trust

Trust Wizard can generate a "Certification of Trust" (or Memorandum of Trust). This document allows you to prove the existence of your trust to banks and institutions without revealing your private beneficiary or asset lists.

Document Scanning

Use your mobile device's camera to scan physical policy documents, amendments, or notarized pages. Trust Wizard converts these to secure local images stored directly in your vault. They are never uploaded to a server.

Trust Equity Simulator

Master your trust's capital by modeling asset-backed leverage before you take it.

• Real-Time Modeling: Adjust loan amounts and repayment terms to see how they impact your trust's cash flow.
• Amortization Schedules: Generate month-by-month repayment schedules including interest costs.
• Formal Illustrations: Export a print-ready PDF "Formal Loan Illustration" for your administrative records.

Compliance Tracker

Fiduciary duty is a full-time job. Trust Wizard makes it easier to stay in good standing with the IRS and your state jurisdiction.

Automated Tasks

• Crummey Notices: Automated generation of beneficiary withdrawal notices for new gifts/premiums.
• Annual Meetings: Prompts to log minutes for your annual trustee review.
• State Filings: Reminders for annual entity fees (e.g., LLC or Corporate filing fees) to maintain your corporate veil.

Enlightenment Hub

Education is the foundation of the Trust Wizard experience. The Enlightenment tab provides interactive modules on advanced estate planning and funding strategies.

• Module Deep Dives: Each module (e.g., "Understanding ILITs", "Infinite Banking 101") contains a "Deep Dive" section with curated resources and vetted external links.
• Interactive Tools: Many modules integrate directly with the app's calculators, allowing you to move from theory to practical modeling instantly.

Security & Backups

Because Trust Wizard is 100% offline, your data exists only on your device. This makes backups critical.

Exporting Your Vault

Go to Settings → Export Vault. Trust Wizard will generate a single .twvault (encrypted JSON/ZIP) file containing all your policies, documents, and ledger history. Store this file in a secure, separate location (like an encrypted USB drive or a physical safe).

Restoring Data

If you switch devices, simply install Trust Wizard and click "Import Vault" on the activation screen to restore your entire estate profile in seconds.

Successor Handoff

What happens if you're not there? Trust Wizard solves the "digital inheritance" problem without requiring a subscription.

Successor Export

You can generate a "Successor Authorization Package." This is a single, offline HTML file containing an encrypted snapshot of the trust's current state. You can provide this file (and the associated Hash Key) to your successor trustee. They don't need the app installed or even an internet connection to view the vital documents and performance data they need to take over.
